1. Create your account
The game is free and needs no download: it opens in your browser or on your phone at www.patrongame.com. You can sign up with a username and password, or with one tap using your Google or Facebook account.
When you sign up, you choose the province, district and neighbourhood where you live. The game’s streets, shop names and weather are built around that real place.
2. Set up your first stall
With your starting capital you buy one of the street stalls in your neighbourhood: a simit seller, a water and tissue seller, a shoeshine stand and so on. As you level up, more profitable stalls unlock, such as corn, roasted chestnut, gözleme, kokoreç and fish sandwich stalls.
You run a stall for anywhere from 1 hour to 1 week. Sales change with the weather, the season, the weekend and the province you’re in: umbrellas sell better in the rain, chestnuts in winter and ice cream in summer.
If you tap the customer at your stall and serve them yourself, you earn tips and extra sales. Once you become a Journeyman, your apprentice can repeat the job for you.
3. Open a shop
With the money you’ve saved, you rent or buy an empty shop space on the street. There are grocery stores, cafés, hair salons, pharmacies, electronics stores, restaurants and hundreds of other business types.
You stock your shelves with goods bought from wholesalers or the player market, and you set your own prices. Your earnings have to cover rent, staff wages, electricity and taxes; the right price and the right location are the keys to success.
You can expand your shop, open branches, advertise and decorate your shop window.
4. Produce and trade
Once you reach the Boss rank, you build production facilities such as fields, farms, mines, factories and power plants. You store what you produce in your warehouse and sell it on the wholesale market, to other players or in your own shops.
On the player market you can buy and sell goods, sign supply deals, bid on tenders and join auctions. Prices change with supply and demand.
5. Grow your company
You found a company, form partnerships and take out bank loans. You can take your company public on the stock exchange and buy and sell other players’ shares.
From level 20 on, you can build a shopping mall in your district and rent out its shop spaces to other players.
6. Run your city
Once you’re a Master, you can run and vote in elections for neighbourhood head and mayor. The elected mayor makes the municipality’s decisions, and laws are voted on in the council.
You chat and do business with other players in the district chat, in groups and on your friends list.
7. Level up and earn ranks
Every job, sale and production run earns you experience points (XP). As you level up, new jobs, shops and features unlock, and you earn ranks drawn from the Ahi tradition: Apprentice, Journeyman (6), Master (10), Boss (15), Ahi (25) and beyond.
Daily quests, story chapters, street events, the daily hidden chest, mini-games, tournaments and weekly rankings give you extra rewards.
